Healthcare: Fighting employee burnout and morale issues
Situation: Since COVID-19 and the global pandemic, healthcare systems and providers have battled employee's mental health challenges, and absenteeism and resignations related to burnout. BetterGround partnered cross-functionally within a 38,000+ employee healthcare system to implement a unified talent and performance management system, helping leaders more effectively manage through the change while delivering excellent care.
Result: The new system(s) led to +31% internal mobility for employees year-over-year, and +17 points in employee engagement.
Shifting Mindsets and Developing Skillsets: A multinational energy company needs to evolve with the industry, customers, and consumers
Situation: Facing pressure from a variety of sources (shareholder activism, regulatory and legal issues, and industry disruption) BetterGround was hired to design and facilitate leadership workshops (UT-Austin certified) for senior leaders globally to think and act differently when engaging internal and external stakeholders.
Result: Over 300 leaders have finished the program and the work has been extended multiple years due to outstanding feedback and impact across business units.
Operational Excellence: Expand the footprint and extend the brand in a $3B restaurant and retail company
Situation: A nearly 50 years old restaurant and retail company was facing increased pressure to perform due to an activist investor, stagnating shareholder returns, and increasing pressure from various stakeholders. BetterGround partnered with the C-suite and senior leaders to develop a 5-year enterprise strategy and align cross-functional teams.
Result: Performance improvements and a store of the future concept (developed over ~ 2 years) which generated 16% ROI on $90M in capital investments and provided expanded opportunities for new store growth.
